Out of university I began using light as a medium for forming nano-structures in photolithographic thin films. In this (engineering) application l came to appreciate the challenges of working with light as well as the beauty of the equations that describe it. Now, decades later, as an artist I find myself continuing to sculpt with light. Neither particle nor wave, light merges what we intuit as separate and discrete into one.
