Pam Van Londen's latest works are a set of naturescapes in oil on Ampersand MDF panels and gallery-edged canvases. Her childhood camping trips and motorhome travels, and frequent travels up and down Hwy99 landed her in spectacular scenery, which she is compelled to paint! She experiments with underpainting, layering, dripping, and highly-saturated color contrast to add texture and depth. Her favorite subjects are riparian areas where water and trees meet, the colorful farmlands of the Willamette Valley, and the glory of our local Mary's Peak (tcha Timanwi).
En plein air and studio landscapes are Van Londen's most common subjects, but she also paints flower, food, and people portraits. She takes commissions and teaches private oil-painting lessons in her studio.
Van Londen has a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Oregon University, where she focused on art education, instructional design, and computer science.
